Tyto Athene is searching for a Technical Writer to support our DAU IT Enterprise Operations Support Group. This position is REMOTE. The Technical Writer will organize and write supporting documents for internal and external use, standardize documents across different platforms and media, and gather usable feedback to revise documents as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with technical staff to create SOPs, processes, and procedures
2. Organize and write supporting documents for products and services
3. Standardize content across different platforms and media
4. Gather information from technical staff
5. Write and revise technical documents as required
6. Identify, escalate, and communicate issues in a timely manner

Required:

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with other contractors and end users
• Associates degree in English, Communication, or related field (or experience equivalent), with some technical writing coursework
• Excellent customer service and people skills
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Proactive and self-motivated, committed to achieving deadlines, meeting, and producing results
• Ability to produce quality documentation and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook

Clearance:

• Able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Location:

• This hybrid/remote position will be based out of our client site in Ft. Belvoir, VA.

Compensation:

• Compensation is based on skills and experience. The salary range typically falls between $50K-$60K, but may vary depending on multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements.
