Job Description

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, editing, reviewing, and publishing documentation. This position will coordinate, prioritize, and implement writing and documentation projects including a rotating review and maintenance of existing documentation. The role involves collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs), Trainers, Business Process Analysts, and management to develop and produce necessary materials for new processes and plans.

Responsibilities
  • Develop thorough knowledge of tools used at Prime to document processes and write user guides; tools may include Microsoft Office Suite, RxCLAIM, Benefit Edit Tool, IBM Notes, CoverMyMeds, Clinical Review Engine, MSA, Clinical Operations Review Engine, and Prime Knowledge Resources.
  • Write, edit, review, and publish all documentation on a regular rotation to ensure up-to-date information; update documentation as needed and communicate changes.
  • Create new documentation such as SOPs, desktop procedures, job aids, user guides, training materials, and process flows prior to new client or process implementation.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, Trainers, and Business Process Analysts to ensure accuracy in process documentation.
  • Support various project tasks, organize and manage work efficiently, and ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation.
  • Experience in writing and reviewing clinical pharmacy documents, specifically Therapeutic Class Reviews, is highly desirable.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Education, or related field, or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical or process-specific documentation.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Snagit, Teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, process, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PBM experience or experience with web-based workflow systems like Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or experience in a pharmacy environment.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting, using hands, talking, hearing; reaching; occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching; lifting up to 10 pounds; vision abilities.
