Job summary

Saliense-Consulting-LLC is seeking a Technical Writer to support the development and help desk teams. You will proactively manage timelines, collaborate with Dev and Help Desk teams, and translate complex requirements into clear language for a diverse audience.

You will maintain well-organized documentation aligned with style guides and contribute to user guides and training materials. Requirements include 3+ years of relevant experience and an active Public Trust clearance.

• On-Site 1-2 Days Per Week.

Responsibilities

• Drafts, edits, and maintains security policies, procedures, guidelines, handbooks, and best practices.
• Proactively manages timelines and meets all deadlines.
• Collaborates daily and participates in team level document reviews and revisions.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather accurate and up-to-date information.
• Translates complex requirement concepts into clear and concise language for a diverse audience (technical and non-technical).
• Ensures documentation is well-organized, easy to navigate, and adheres to style guides.
• Develops and maintains user guides, training materials, and other communication pieces related to security policies.
• Keeps existing policies up-to-date and is responsible for reviewing, updating, and maintaining policies as regulations change.

• Evaluate the user feedback to retrieve information on documentation and use it to enhance usability.
• Experience with technical writer and documentation concepts and standards (e.g., accessibility standards).
• Knowledge with RMF, NIST, and other federal cybersecurity policies is a plus, but not required.

Skills:

• Ability to work cooperatively at technical and professional level with developers, engineers, and managers on system teams.
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and duties simultaneously while effectively coordinating and ensuring that scheduled delivery dates and milestones are achieved.
• Able to communicate effectively in an accurate and concise manner through written and verbal means to project leadership and teams.
• Ability to take initiative on assigned tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work and collaborate as part of an integrated team with diverse backgrounds.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Must have an active Public Trust Clearance
• On-Site 1-2 Days Per Week

Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000

The salary range listed for this position is based on multiple factors, including relevant years of experience, education, certifications, specialized skills, security clearance level, and overall alignment with the role’s requirements. The final compensation offered may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
