  • Review and proofread documentation for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and adherence to established documentation standards and style guidelines.
  • Support program compliance by aligning documentation with contract requirements, technical specifications, and configuration baselines.
  • Continuously update and improve existing documentation based on stakeholder feedback, system changes, and evolving program needs.
  • Use document management tools and Microsoft Office applications to create, organize, and maintain technical documents and related artifacts.
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure training materials and technical documentation effectively support mission systems, avionics, communications, sensors, and training operations.
  • Contribute to the documentation strategy for military training and mission systems programs, including AI‑enabled and simulation‑based solutions.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical writing experience supporting technical, engineering, software, or government programs.
  • Proven experience creating, editing, and maintaining technical documentation, procedures, training materials, and program deliverables.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible documentation for diverse audiences.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, federal government, or defense contracting programs.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and document control skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with documentation standards, configuration management practices, and compliance requirements for government or defense programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and document management tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting AI, simulation, or training systems in technical or defense environments.
  • Experience in avionics, aerospace, or military programs and their associated documentation needs.
  • Knowledge of military training systems, mission systems, avionics, communications, or sensor technologies.
  • Experience supporting MAST (Mission Avionics Systems Trainer), military training, or mission systems programs.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
Work Environment

This role is based onsite in an office‑related environment. You will work closely with technical and program teams in a collaborative setting, using standard office technologies, Microsoft Office applications, and document management tools to produce and maintain high‑quality technical documentation for defense and aerospace programs.

This is a Contract position based out of Fairborn, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
