Job summary

Rapid Cycle Solutions LLC (RCS) seeks a Technical Writer to join the national intelligence program supporting the CIMM team. You will craft SOPs, manuals, and reports, edit technical content, and ensure consistent terminology while coordinating with PMO to maintain style. On-site role in Chantilly, VA requiring TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with extensive writing experience or higher degrees, and be comfortable researching cloud technologies. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience or Master’s with 7+ years.
• PhD or JD with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience coordinating a small team of writers.
• Proficient in Confluence, SharePoint, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

RCS is seeking a Technical Writer to join our multi-million dollar national intelligence program supporting the Cloud Investment Multi-Cloud Management (CIMM) team. As a contributor to the intelligence community’s first multi-cloud initiative, you will be at the epicenter of emergent cloud computing technologies establishing a foundation that will evolve to include all agencies within the IC.

This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations to work onsite in Chantilly, VA.

What you will do:

• Composing technical documents including, Standard Operating procedures (SOPs), user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports
• Editing functional descriptions, system specifications, user’s manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents
• Conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology
• Organizing material and completing writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, conciseness, style, and terminology
• Establishing the overall organizational layout and editorial standards of the submissions
• Working with the PMO to develop a consistent, uniform style and language
• Managing the schedule, assignments, and meetings associated with all narratives and submissions

Required Qualifications/Education:

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)

• Bachelor’s and nine (9) years or more experience; Master’s and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience
• Will accept additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Organizing and coordinating the activities for a small team of writers
• Demonstrated experience using Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be comfortable researching cloud technologies

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• Understanding of basic cloud technologies and terminology
