Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Training professional to develop and deliver technical instruction on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of products. You will train customers, field teams, and employees across varied applications, and design training programs with print, video, and e-learning components.

The role requires travel up to 50%, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor others. Onsite work five days a week, with comprehensive benefits and a focus on practical training

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
  • Public speaking, instructional or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.

Develops and delivers technical instruction in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of products and other related advanced technical topics.

What you will do:
  • Conducts technical training courses to customers, field service teams and employees in a wide range of applications of the product line.
  • Designs and develops new product training programs, including print documentation, video and computer-based training under the leadership and guidance of a technical editor/instructional designer.
  • Performs pre and post course equipment maintenance of mechanical and electronic hardware, test equipment, and training packages.
What you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Basic knowledge of turbomachinery, its control systems, and typical applications
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills, technical instructional, or technical on-the-job mentoring experience
  • Demonstrated experience investigating and self-learning technical knowledge
  • Basic Software Proficiency (office 365) and Internet and Digital Platform Use
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.

Summary Pay Range:

$77,264.00 - $115,896.00
