Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver technical instruction in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting for our product lines.

The role includes creating training programs with print, video and computer-based content, and performing pre/post course equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, comfortable public speaking, and willingness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Basic knowledge of turbomachinery, its control systems, and typical applications.
• Demonstrated public speaking skills, technical instructional, or technical on-the-job mentoring experience.
• Demonstrated experience investigating and self-learning technical knowledge.
• Basic Software Proficiency (Office 365) and Internet and Digital Platform Use.

Responsibilities

• Develops and delivers technical instruction in operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of products and related topics.
• Designs and develops new product training programs, including print documentation, video and computer-based training under guidance of a technical editor/instructional designer.
