Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Human Resources Manager located in East Peoria, IL to drive HR strategies aligned with business objectives and foster a culture of engagement and development.

The role involves leading the Drivetrain Essentials for Life program, mentoring trainees, aligning policies, coaching leaders on HR matters, and analyzing HR metrics for actionable insights. On-site five days a week with robust benefits and career development opportunities.

The Human Resources Manager implements HR strategies aligned with business objectives, provides guidance on HR policies and practices, and fosters a culture of employee engagement and development.

What You Will Do:
  • Coordinating and leading the Drivetrain Essentials for Life (E4L) Program. Managing and mentoring student trainees. Strengthening and building school and community partnerships to build the next generation of manufacturing talent.

What You Will Have:
  • Education - Degree or equivalent experience
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization's vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  • Employee Relations: Knowledge of the rights and obligations in the employee relations; ability to adhere to legal requirements when handling employee negotiations.
  • Talent Management : Knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
