Job summary

Honda seeks an experienced automotive training professional to deliver technical instruction to dealership service personnel at the Alpharetta training center and in-dealer sessions. You will ensure certification standards are met and maintain training facilities, equipment, and vehicles to high standards.

As a training expert, you will analyze regional training needs, develop modules, and advise on program development while ensuring compliance with Honda, state, and federal standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Automotive Technology, Industrial, Business or Education.
• AA in Automotive Technical, Industrial, Business or Education preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a technical automotive field.
• Secondary/post-secondary automotive instructor experience.
• Automotive service technician background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to dealer service personnel at assigned training center and in-dealer training.
• Ensure Dealer Repair Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date.
• Ensure Dealer Diagnostic Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date.
• Ensure Individual Repair Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date.
• Maintain training center facilities, tools, and vehicles.

Job Purpose

Deliver technical training to Honda and Acura automobiles dealership service personnel through assigned training center and in-dealer training while promoting Lifetime Owner Loyalty. Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facility to high standards. Training and maintenance must be in alignment with all Honda, State, and Federal standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory mandates. As a training expert, analyze training needs of districts, dealers, and technicians and make appropriate recommendations.

Key Accountabilities

• Training Delivery - deliver technical training to dealer service personnel trough assigned training center and in-dealer training by the following:
• Ensure Dealer Repair Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Ensure Dealer Diagnostic Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Ensure Individual Repair Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Ensure Individual Diagnostic Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Facility Maintenance
• Make sure all the training center vehicles are bugged and ready for the technicians to diagnose the vehicle
• Make sure all the necessary tools are available and ready for each day, for technicians to use
• Maintain all vehicles and training center equipment
• Maintain professional association
• Provide advice and support in the development of automotive technical training modules
• Accountable for the quality of training provided to our Honda/Acura technicians
• Special Projects

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Bachelors in related field (Automotive Technology, Industrial, Business, Education)
• AA in Automotive Technical, Industrial, Business, or Education preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience with a strong background in a technical automotive field
• Secondary / post-secondary automotive instructor
• Automotive service technician
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Presentation skills
