American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is seeking a technically skilled Training Specialist to deliver automotive training to Honda/Acura dealership staff at a first-shift, onsite center in Alpharetta.

You will maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with Honda and regulatory standards. The role requires 3–5 years in a technical automotive field, plus instructional experience and strong PowerPoint/Excel/Word skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant automotive technical experience.
• Secondary/post-secondary automotive instructor and service technician background.
• Strong presentation skills and proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to develop and deliver training modules aligned with standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training to dealership personnel at assigned center.
• Maintain training equipment, vehicles, and facilities to high standards.
• Analyze training needs and recommend solutions for districts and dealers.
• Ensure certifications and quality of training meet Honda standards.
• Support development of automotive training modules and programs.

Job Purpose

Deliver technical training to Honda and Acura automobiles dealership service personnel through assigned training center and in-dealer training while promoting Lifetime Owner Loyalty. Maintain equipment, vehicles, and facility to high standards. Training and maintenance must be in alignment with all Honda, State, and Federal standards, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory mandates. As a training expert, analyze training needs of districts, dealers, and technicians and make appropriate recommendations.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure Dealer Repair Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Ensure Dealer Diagnostic Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Ensure Individual Repair Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Ensure Individual Diagnostic Certifications are met monthly and fiscal year to date
• Facility Maintenance
• Make sure all the training center vehicles are bugged and ready for the technicians to diagnose the vehicle
• Make sure all the necessary tools are available and ready for each day, for technicians to use
• Maintain all vehicles and training center equipment
• Maintain professional association
• Provide advice and support in the development of automotive technical training modules
• Accountable for the quality of training provided to our Honda/Acura technicians
• Special Projects

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills

• Bachelors in related field (Automotive Technology, Industrial, Business, Education)
• AA in Automotive Technical, Industrial, Business, or Education preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience with a strong background in a technical automotive field
• Secondary / post-secondary automotive instructor
• Automotive service technician
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Presentation skills
