Job summary

Wachter is seeking a Technical Trainer in the Lowell office to manage development, delivery, and assessment of training programs for Boot Camp, Security/Alarm training, and field technicians. This role emphasizes hands-on or on-the-job coaching in a fast-paced environment and may involve relocation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in field installation and strong communication skills, with a passion for talent development and a flexible, self-starting attitude.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field installation experience in Structured Cabling, Access Control, Video Surveillance, or Intrusion/Fire Alarm.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (email, spreadsheets, databases).
• Knowledge of the client environment and ability to train hands-on in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop training curriculum and delivery for Boot Camp, Security and Alarm Training, and field programs.
• Deliver content to field technicians with live hands-on demonstrations.
• Create and maintain course curriculum and content updates.
• Coordinate with facilitators, operations, and trainers to ensure a world-class training program.
• Follow up with trainees to ensure knowledge retention and identify content improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
