Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a Technical Team Lead for our largest PRIME contract. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and 12 years in Software Engineering to guide analytics, ETL design, and tool development on enterprise-scale platforms.

You will mentor engineers, own task scopes, and promote SRE practices while collaborating with mission leadership in a fast-paced, fully funded program at Fort Meade.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
• 12 years of experience in Software Engineering
• Experience leading technical teams
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale platforms
• Strong Java development skills
• Experience with service containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence
• Experience or exposure to site reliability engineering (SRE) principles
• Familiarity with customer authentication and authorization platforms and standards
• Familiarity with Git for software version control
• Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating across diverse backgrounds and skill sets
• Customer-service mindset with a willingness to contribute to internal and customer-facing documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics to combine, normalize, and enrich large data sets
• Design and implement ETL workflows to convert and normalize data
• Augment the platform with new tools and technologies to support evolving mission needs
• Gather stakeholder requirements, assess available data, and develop solutions for delivering key metrics
• Break down technical efforts into actionable tasks and remove obstacles to support consistent team execution
• Define and communicate task scope through clear documentation and tracking systems
• Integrate site reliability engineering practices into the operational platform
• Mentor and guide junior software engineers and data scientists
• Develop project management materials, including agendas, meeting notes, and design decision records
