Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in Alvin, TX is seeking a PP/Utilities Technical Team Lead to drive optimization across two polypropylene units, a Utilities Unit, and a Cogeneration facility. The role focuses on translating data and engineering insights into strategic direction and value through debottlenecking and technology planning.

You will lead a small technical team, collaborate with Capital Projects, Operations, and Business Teams, and ensure safety, reliability, and compliant performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–15 years relevant experience in chemical, petrochemical, or large-scale industrial environments.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the technical team.
• Identify optimization and debottlenecking opportunities.
• Own and govern opportunity registers.
• Drive sustained economic improvement.
• Develop and maintain multi-year technology roadmaps.
• Own CAPEX investment plans for optimization initiatives.
• Interface with manufacturing, asset, and project teams.
• Translate technical analysis into decision-ready insight.
