Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a lead machine learning engineer to guide a team building scalable ML solutions, from problem framing to data preparation and model optimization.

The role partners with product teams to plan roadmaps, emphasizes observability, security, cost efficiency, and inclusive culture, with opportunities to lead strategic initiatives and mentor others.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years’ experience with object-oriented languages (Java, Python) and ML/AI frameworks.
• 3 years of software development experience building commercial and ML applications.
• Experience in all phases of ML lifecycle from problem mapping to data prep to model optimization.
• Project or team leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.
• Working experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

You need to have:

• Master’s or PhD in related field or equivalent work experience.

• 3 years’ experience and/or commensurate skills with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or Python, ML/AI frameworks, libraries, data structures and data modeling techniques.

• 3 years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills building commercial and ML applications.

• Experience in all phases of machine learning application lifecycles from problem mapping and scoping to data gathering and preparation to optimizing model performance.

• Either project or team leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills.

• Working experience with DevOps, CICD, and infrastructure as code.

Compensation Range:

$165,000.00-$205,000.00

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
