Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Technical Lead in the DC metro area to guide a cross-functional team of up to 15 developers and testers. You will provide hands-on technical direction, drive architecture discussions, and work with stakeholders including government leads to align goals and deliver reliable software.

The role emphasizes mentoring, process improvements, and cloud deployments (AWS). Strong Java/Spring experience and experience with Jira, CI/CD, and relational databases are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 8+ years of hands-on software development in Java.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams.
• Security clearance eligibility (CBP/Public Trust) preferred.
• Experience in federal government projects is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support a cross‑functional team of up to 15 developers and testers.
• Act as a technical point of contact, work closely with stakeholders, and help remove obstacles to progress.
