Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior software delivery lead to own and evolve the system architecture, drive Agile delivery, and shepherd DevSecOps practices across development, integration, and test environments.

In this on-site role in the United States, you will translate requirements into actionable design, manage supplier deliverables, lead cadence and metrics, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, testable, and auditable software ready for deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field.
Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (US citizenship required).
5+ years leading efforts translating requirements into system architecture and designs.
Experience as an Agile Systems or Software Development Team Lead.
5+ years DevSecOps lifecycle experience and CI/CD tooling.

Responsibilities

Own and maintain software architecture with focus on stability and interface clarity.
Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into software models and artifacts.
Manage supplier/subcontractor software deliverables to meet integration requirements.
Lead the software engineering team’s agile delivery and remove impediments.
Own backlog prioritization and define sprint goals with product owners.
Define and enforce integration contracts, data models, and message definitions.
Ensure software is designed for testability with observability hooks and test artifacts.
Lead DevSecOps and CI/CD practices across environments.
Coordinate delivery cadence with Integration & Test and Systems leads.
Drive verification, test strategies, and defect triage.
Track delivery metrics and coach engineers on agile practices and quality.
Elevate risks to protect integration milestones and ensure readiness.
Document integration results and support design reviews.
