Job summary

The USPS OIG is seeking a highly qualified Technical Operations Officer to join the Office of Investigations, Technical and Sensitive Operations Field Office (TSOFO), Technical Operations West, in Federal Way (Seattle), WA. The successful candidate will install and operate electronic surveillance equipment and coordinate field operations with experience across covert and overt devices.

Qualifications

• At least one year of qualifying electronic or technical surveillance work within the last five years in a law enforcement agency, military, intelligence, defense/government contractor, or comparable investigative environment.
• Completed covert electronic surveillance installations independently.
• Prior or current electronic surveillance position at a Law Enforcement Agency.
• Experience configuring, networking and troubleshooting electronic or IP devices.
• Brieffed individuals on the use of electronic surveillance equipment.
• Must have two most recent performance appraisals or written statement if unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of covert/overt electronic surveillance devices and field installations.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate logistics for optimal operation.
• Explain troubleshooting techniques on various surveillance systems.
• Brief personnel and management in writing and orally about surveillance and radio communication.
• Complete complex electronic surveillance installs.
