Job summary

The USPS Office of Inspector General seeks a Technical Operations Officer for the Office of Investigations, TS0FO, West Field Office in Federal Way/S Seattle area. Qualifications

• At least one year of qualifying electronic or technical surveillance work in a relevant setting.
• Experience installing covert electronic surveillance independently.
• Prior or current electronic surveillance work in law enforcement or similar environment.
• Experience configuring, networking and troubleshooting electronic or IP devices.
• Briefed individuals on the use of electronic surveillance equipment.
• Two most recent performance appraisals available or a written statement explaining unavailability.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of covert/overt electronic surveillance devices and field deployment.
• Explain troubleshooting techniques for a range of surveillance systems.
• Brief personnel and management about electronic surveillance and radio communication.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate logistics for installs.
• Complete complex electronic surveillance installations with clear documentation.
