Job summary

VTG in Bethesda, Maryland is seeking an experienced Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Professional to join our security team. You will conduct physical and technical assessments to identify vulnerabilities and perform TSCM inspections to safeguard critical facilities.

Ideal candidates hold an active TS/SCI with Polygraph, TSCM certification, and expert RF/TEMPEST knowledge, with 12–15 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with 10–13 years’ experience. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Overview

VTG is seeking an experienced Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Professional to join our team in the Bethesda, Maryland.

What will you do?

• Conduct TEMPEST surveys and recommend mitigations.
• Conduct acoustic testing to determine ICD 705 waiver requirements.
• Research and develop policy and instruction at the agency and ICD level.

Do you have what it takes?

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 12 – 15 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10 – 13 years of relevant experience, with the final level determined based on the skills, education, and experience of the selected candidate. Additional experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
• TSCM Certified with experience in TEMPEST assessments.
• Expert-level knowledge of radio frequencies, direction-finding procedures, wireless communications, and general TSCM procedures and processes.
• General knowledge of counterintelligence investigations, insider threat operations, physical security and anti-terrorism requirements, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and IT infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in conducting radio frequency directions, finding missions to identify unauthorized transmitting devices.
• Experience providing technical security, subject matter expert input to designated IC working groups.
• Experience developing and disseminating workforce education for counterintelligence and security.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working within or alongside the Intelligence Community (IC).

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $190,000-$220,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
