Job summary

LEDVANCE is seeking an IT Local Technical Support Specialist (Generalist) to provide first-line hardware and software support for regional sites and distribution centers. This on-site role is based at the Midwest Distribution Center in Versailles, KY.

You will respond to user requests, install and configure equipment, diagnose problems, train users, and document issues. Collaboration with IT staff and vendors is required to maintain security and performance.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
• Experience in providing technical support and customer service.
• Knowledge of common operating systems, applications, and protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems promptly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Role Overview:

As an IT Local Technical Support Specialist (Generalist), you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for the computer hardware and software systems of our regional sites and distribution centers. This position will be located on premises in Versailles Kentucky at the LEDVANCE Midwest Distribution Center (MDC).

Key Responsibilities:

• Responding to user requests and issues via ticket or in person
• Installing, configuring, updating, and maintaining hardware and software components
• Diagnosing and resolving technical problems with computer systems, printers, and other devices
• Providing training and guidance to users on how to use various applications and systems
• Documenting and reporting technical issues, solutions, and feedback
• Collaborating with other IT staff, outsource partners and vendors to ensure optimal performance and security of the systems and services
• Performing routine maintenance of systems and data

Basic Requirements:

• A degree in computer science, information technology or a related field
• Experience in providing technical support and customer service
• Knowledge of common operating systems, applications, and protocols
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems in a timely and effective manner
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to learn new technologies and skills quickly
• Certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, VMWare, Azure, Redhat, etc.

Additional Information:

• Position is located at our MidWest Distribution Center in Versailles, KY
• Work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with some flexibility
• Position requires you to be on-site.
