Weber State University Department of Automotive Technology is seeking a part-time Technical Support Specialist to assist campus users with desktop support, monitoring, and a range of technical tasks.

The position is hourly, 20–28 hours per week, 12 months, at Weber State University – Ogden, UT, with an initial pay rate of $14.75 per hour and a $0.25 raise after the initial training. Flexible scheduling to accommodate classes, core hours 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, M-F.

Job Summary/Basic Function: This part-time job is a great introduction to the technical field! Duties include computer desktop support, system monitoring, and a wide variety of technical support and troubleshooting tasks.

Job training will be provided, so no previous technical experience is required.

Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. Shift schedules are flexible to work around class schedules, but we are seeking an applicant that can work during a portion of our core hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM M-F).

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prefer past customer service experience and computer troubleshooting skills.
