Job summary

University of New England is seeking a Technology Support Specialist to maintain and support a Mac and PC environment across two campuses. The role emphasizes customer service, strong communication, and technical ability in resolving hardware and software issues on Windows and macOS.

The successful candidate will work with UNE's IT teams to provide frontline help via phone, email, walk-up, and on-site support to the university community, on a friendly and collaborative campus environment.

Job description

The Technology Support Specialist will initiate and support a Mac and PC environment, solving a wide range of application and technical problems, demonstrating superior problem solving skills and a strong combination of customer service, communication, and technical abilities. This position will work as part of a team across two campuses and interact with all members of the University community via phone, email, walk-up and office visit support. Technical experience that includes maintenance and imaging of laptops and desktops, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, deep understanding of the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and an understanding of how technology works in an enterprise level environment is essential to success in this role.
