Job summary

STAHL Companies seeks a seasoned Technical Support Manager to lead electrical and control systems efforts for Navy and DoD programs. The role requires hands-on engineering depth, program management experience, and strong coordination across government and industry stakeholders.

We expect extensive DoD acquisition experience, a BS in Engineering (MS preferred), and a track record delivering large-scale testing facilities and system integration for submarine and surface ship programs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Support Manager to join our team!

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Manager with a strong engineering background to support Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in electric power systems, control systems, and advanced technologies, as well as hands‑on experience with shipboard test and evaluation facilities. This role requires both technical depth and proven ability to support large‑scale defense programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in one or more of the following technical areas:

  • Electric power generation, distribution, and conversion.
  • Control system development.
  • Computer software and hardware design and implementation.
  • Circuit analysis and magnetics.
  • Fiber optics.
Program/Project Experience
  • Conceptual and detailed design for submarine or surface ship systems.
  • Development of multi‑functional facilities and support systems for testing and evaluation of ship structural configurations, machinery, and/or component designs (model and full scale).
Desired Qualifications
Education

Master’s degree (M.S.) in Engineering.

Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience with DoD acquisition processes in one or more of the following areas:

  • DoD/Navy program management.
  • Industry or Government technical management.
  • Industry or Government business management.
