Corewell Health is seeking an OR Technician to support the Royal Oak Hospital operating rooms in Royal Oak, MI. The role involves assisting with equipment handling, patient positioning, and intraoperative support under the surgeon's direction.

Ideal candidates will have High School Diploma and specialized OR training including stealth navigation, Davinci robotics, and O-Arm; BLS certification is required at hire. Prior OR experience is preferred and calendars show 1 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Stealth Navigation Training, Davinci Robotic training, O-Arm training, Sterile Technique training with the OR educator required.
  • Experience in the OR preferred.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist professional staff with daily handling of OR equipment; coordinate PMIs and repairs.
  • Set up and check patient equipment prior to case starts; transfer and position patient under surgeon direction.
  • Scrub in to hold cameras, limbs, and retractors as directed by the surgeon.
  • Assist the surgical team in room turnover.

Scope of work

Assists the professional staff with the daily handling of equipment needs in the OR environment. Coordinates PMIs and repairs with appropriate disciplines. Sets up and checks patient equipment prior to case starts. Transfer and position the patient under the direction of the surgeon. Scrubs in to hold cameras, limbs, and retractors, under the direction of the surgeon. Assists the surgical team in room turnover.
