Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a technically skilled IT asset and device deployment specialist in Florida. The role covers the full lifecycle of IT equipment—from intake to deployment—performing OS wipes, USB-based imaging, system builds, and staging to ensure devices are ready for handoff.

You will collaborate with a small technical support team to meet deployment timelines. Required are 2–5 years in technical or IT support, hands-on imaging/build experience, Windows OS knowledge, and familiarity

Qualifications

  • Experience working with Windows OS.
  • Basic understanding of hardware and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a hands-on/warehouse/depot environment.
  • Familiarity with OS installs and USB-based imaging.
  • Experience with Ninja One.
  • Experience with MAC OS.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems like Freshservice or similar.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full lifecycle of IT equipment, from intake to deployment.
  • Prepare devices with OS wipes, imaging, and system builds; stage devices for deployment.
  • Configure software and stage systems for handoff to users; manage asset lifecycles (intake, builds, shipments).
  • Handle light ticketing in Freshservice and document work.
  • Collaborate with a small technical support team to meet deployment timelines.

Job Description

This role is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of IT equipment, including receiving returned or damaged devices and assessing their condition to determine whether they require repair or replacement. The position involves preparing devices for deployment through tasks such as OS wipes, manual (USB-based) imaging, and system builds, as well as configuring software using tools like NinjaOne. The individual will also stage laptops and desktops to ensure all systems are fully set up prior to handoff. Additional responsibilities include managing asset lifecycle tasks such as intake, builds, and shipment preparation, handling light ticketing work in systems like Freshservice, and collaborating with a small technical support team to effectively manage workload and meet deployment timelines.

Skills and Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience in a technical support, IT support, or device deployment role
  • Hands-on experience with device imaging, hardware builds, or pre-deployment setup
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems
  • Basic understanding of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to take direction and learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid problem-solving skills and "common sense" approach to troubleshooting
  • Experience working in a hands-on / warehouse / depot-style environment supporting device lifecycle tasks
  • Ability to perform manual OS installs and device configuration (USB-based imaging or similar)
  • Experience with Ninja One
  • Experience with MAC OS
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and documenting work like freshservice (training provided if needed)
  • Any industry related certifications
