Job summary

Metric Geo seeks an experienced Technical Project Engineering Manager to lead substation engineering for major investor-owned utilities. You will drive technical delivery and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, balancing schedule, budget, and scope while maintaining high client satisfaction.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license (preferred) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Structural Engineering, with a proven track record delivering large transmission projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Structural Engineering.
• PE license strongly preferred.
• Experience delivering large transmission and substation projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of substation engineering projects for IOU clients.
• Own project deliverables, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Provide technical leadership to Substation Physical Design and P&C teams.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to manage scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate disciplines for seamless project execution and strong client outcomes.
• Support planning, risk management, and quality assurance throughout lifecycle.
• Foster strong client relationships with technical excellence.
