Job summary

Metric Geo seeks an experienced Technical Project Engineering Manager to lead the Power Delivery substation design and P&C teams. The role focuses on delivering complex utility infrastructure projects for investor-owned utilities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality outcomes.

The successful candidate will mentor multidisciplinary engineers, manage scope and resources, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required or Structural Engineering; PE license strongly preferred.
• Proven experience delivering large transmission and substation projects for IOU utility clients.
• Strong background in Substation Physical Design and Protection & Control (P&C).
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of substation engineering projects for major IOU clients.
• Own project deliverables, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and quality within budget.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams including Substation Physical Design and P&C.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on scope, schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate engineering disciplines for seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
• Support planning, technical reviews, risk management, and quality assurance throughout lifecycle.
• Foster strong client relationships while maintaining technical excellence.
