Job summary

LUMA Energy is seeking an entry-level Engineer to coordinate and support technical activities under supervision. The role requires technical aptitude, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include providing technical assistance, reviewing specs, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, supporting planning, budgeting, procurement, QA/QC, and reporting. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field or BS Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college.
• Zero to two years of professional engineering experience.

• Coordinates activities as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• May support the review of technical documentation.
• Supports basic work planning, coordination, budgeting, and cost estimating.
• May support the development and updates of single line diagrams, and equipment specifications for engineering review and approval.
• Supports material procurement.
• Collaborates with activities in the QA/QC process.
• Provides basic technical support to field and construction groups.
• Utilizes and improves processes and standards.
• Provides reporting, including presentations to work groups and management.
• Position may be required to work extended hours including major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

• BS in a technical field or BS Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college.

• Experience with MS Office, 365, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
