Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a technically skilled electrical engineer to provide support across a multi-disciplinary team in a utility environment. The role emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and accurate technical documentation.

You will handle basic planning, cost estimation, and procurement support while contributing to QA/QC processes and engineering reviews. Some extended hours including storm restoration may be required.

Qualifications

BS in a technical field or BS Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited college
Zero to two years of professional engineering experience
Business knowledge in the utility & regulated environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers
Team player and ability to prioritize assignments to meet commitments
Problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues
3.2 GPA or higher preferred
Master’s degree in a technical discipline preferred
Experience with MS Office, 365, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Provides technical assistance in support of others
Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and enhance customer satisfaction
Performs assignments in specialized areas requiring technical expertise
Reviews functional specifications for completeness and consideration of practical limitations
Coordinates activities as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Supports the review of technical documentation
Supports basic work planning, coordination, budgeting, and cost estimating
May support the development and updates of single line diagrams and equipment specifications for engineering review and approval
Supports material procurement
Collaborates with activities in the QA/QC process
Provides basic technical support to field and construction groups
Utilizes and improves processes and standards
Provides reporting, including presentations to work groups and management
Position may be required to work extended hours including major storm restoration work
