Job summary

Meta is seeking a Principal, AI Infrastructure Cloud Commercial Sourcing to lead strategic supplier negotiations and multi-year AI cloud capacity deals. You will shape sourcing strategy, own executive relationships with top cloud providers, and partner with research, hardware, software, finance and legal teams to balance time-to-capacity with total landed cost.

Role requires deep experience negotiating complex agreements, strong business acumen, and the ability to move from strategy to execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical or business field or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of business, partnerships, sourcing or supply chain experience in data center, cloud services, compute, or AI hardware supply chains
  • Proven track record of structuring and negotiating large-scale, complex commercial agreements with major technology or cloud suppliers
  • Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and leaders at top cloud and technology partners
  • In-depth understanding of should-cost economics and make-vs-buy for the cloud
  • Experience in AI products and technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to move from strategy to execution
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, cross-functional environments requiring independent judgment

Job description

Meta designs, builds, and operates one of the world's largest and most advanced AI infrastructure footprints. As demand for AI compute accelerates, securing the right cloud capacity at the right cost, speed, silicon mix, and terms is a key strategic and consequential lever for the company. Meta is seeking a Principal, AI Infrastructure Cloud Commercial Sourcing to lead the commercial strategy and strategic supplier relationships that power our AI research and product needs.This is a senior, high-visibility role with responsibility for sourcing Meta's AI cloud capacity. Partnering closely with our research, product, hardware and software engineering, finance, and legal teams, you will own the commercial engagements and executive partnerships with some of our most important cloud providers shaping multi-year, large-scale agreements that directly enable Meta's AI roadmap. You will set a sourcing strategy, lead complex negotiations, develop supply optionality, and translate ambitious research needs into durable commercial structures that balance time-to-capacity with total landed cost.

Technical Sourcing Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Responsibilities
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute complex, high-value commercial agreements for large-scale AI cloud capacity
  • drive and own master supply agreements

  • Ensure cloud supply delivery and manage ramp and performance to meet commitments
  • Analyze and optimize global cloud spend for maximum efficiency and savings
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical or business field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10+ years of business, partnerships, sourcing, or supply chain experience in data center, cloud services, compute, or AI/system hardware supply chains and adjacent industries
  • Proven track record of structuring and negotiating large-scale, complex commercial agreements with major technology or cloud suppliers
  • Direct experience partnering with C-suite executives and leaders at top cloud and technology partners
  • In-depth understanding of "should cost" economics and make-vs-buy trade-offs for the cloud
  • Experience in AI products and technologies, such as AI models, use cases, and systems
  • Demonstrated ability to move seamlessly from strategy to execution
  • Experience influencing, negotiating, building consensus, and making strategic decisions
  • Experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, cross-functional environments requiring independent judgment while coordinating people and technical resources
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • 15+ years of experience in sourcing, partnerships, or supply chain management, including leadership experience
  • M.S. or M.B.A. degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
