You will work closely with Infrastructure, sourcing, supply chain, engineering, procurement, accounting and finance teams to structure, negotiate, and close high-value, technically complex transactions that enable Meta's platforms to serve billions of people worldwide. This role offers the exciting opportunity to join a growing legal team and work on emerging issues in AI infrastructure.

Associate General Counsel, Infrastructure Technology Transactions Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted business partner to Meta’s Infrastructure organization, providing strategic and practical legal advice and solutions to internal stakeholder organizations to support transaction strategy, risk allocation, and critical commercial terms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across legal, finance, tax, privacy, security, and regulatory teams to align transaction structures with company-wide requirements
  • Develop and maintain scalable contract frameworks, playbooks, and standard form agreements for recurring infrastructure transaction types
  • Manage and coordinate outside counsel on specialized infrastructure transaction matters, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Leverage AI-integrated legal workflows to improve contract review efficiency, accelerate drafting cycles, and surface risk patterns across the infrastructure transaction portfolio
Minimum Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
  • 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney negotiating and drafting sophisticated technology procurement, services, and related agreements (e.g., semiconductor development, IP licensing, hardware and software development agreements, master purchase agreements, master service agreements, statements of work) either in-house and/or at a global law firm
  • Experience advising cross-functional business teams on legal risk, contract strategy, and deal structuring for large-scale infrastructure or technology transactions
  • Experience independently managing a high-volume portfolio of complex transactions with minimal supervision, delivering practical legal solutions aligned with business objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven organizational skills, experience in managing multiple projects at once, following through, and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Knowledge of technical hardware development and manufacturing, including semiconductor design
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • In-house experience providing counsel to technology companies in the data center, cloud, semiconductor, hardware, networking, or foundry spaces
  • Proven communication skills, experience providing clear, concise, and practical guidance
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience drafting custom agreements from scratch (i.e., not from existing templates)
