Technical Solutions Engineer – Electrical & Power Systems

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturer in the wire and cable industry to find a skilled Technical Solutions Engineer. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly with customers to solve complex problems, deliver tailored grounding solutions, and support innovative electrical applications.

Residency can be anywhere in the U.S. near a major airport. U.S. travel ~30-50%.

You’ll serve as a key technical resource across sales, engineering, and production teams—translating customer needs into engineered solutions, guiding projects from concept through completion, and helping drive new product opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recommend grounding and protection products for both new and existing applications
• Prepare and present technical proposals, product selections, and design solutions
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact between customers and internal teams
• Manage engineering and sales projects from early-stage opportunity to production
• Interpret design inputs and modify specifications to align with customer and industry requirements
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, production, project management, and marketing teams
• Provide regular updates on project status and technical developments
• Support on-site evaluations, customer meetings, and technical presentations
• Assist quality teams with troubleshooting and performance issues
• Identify and support new product opportunities based on customer feedback and market trends

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
• 5+ years of experience in the power industry, especially with low/medium voltage systems
• Strong understanding of grounding and grounding protection products
• Proven ability to manage technical projects in a cross-functional environment
• Excellent communication skills and technical writing ability
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer site visits and support
