Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly knowledgeable Principal Solution Engineer or Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader within our Solutions Engineering team. This individual will use their extensive industry expertise in Plant Maintenance and Shutdown, Turnaround & Outage to empower fellow Solution Engineers, refine technical sales strategies, and drive customer success.

As a key liaison between sales, engineering, and customers, you will play a vital role in shaping technical value messaging, mentoring team members, and reinforcing our go-to-market approach. Your deep understanding regarding plant maintenance paired with your ability to translate technical concepts into business impact—will be instrumental in positioning our solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Present and demonstrate Prometheus solutions through meetings, webinars, trade shows, and onsite visits.
• Act as an internal expert on product capabilities, industry trends, and customer use cases.
• Collaborate with Solution Engineers and sales teams to enhance technical demos, proposals, and customer engagements.
• Provide technical guidance for complex opportunities and strategic accounts.
• Gather market feedback to help shape product development and roadmap decisions.
• Assist prospects in understanding Prometheus products and their impact on business processes.
• Oversee technical aspects of sales documents such as RFPs, RFIs, and scopes of work.
• Manage customer trials, including software implementation and training.
• Lead software implementation projects and conduct end-user training.
• Develop functional and technical documentation for new products before transitioning to support.
• Travel to client locations approximately 20-25% of the time.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM
• 5-10 years of industry experience
• Expertise in plant maintenance operations, including Shutdowns, Turnarounds, and Outages etc.

Preferred Skills

• Strong functional and technical knowledge of SAP, Oracle, and Maximo is a plus
• An understanding of business processes around equipment maintenance
• Expertise in plant maintenance workflow, including routine and shutdown/turnaround maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
• Motivated to own the technical pieces of a deal
• Meticulous and driven in preparation
