Jobgether seeks a Technical Solutions Engineer to bridge technical expertise and strategic business development, translating client requirements into scalable architectures for a remote-first, US-based role.
Collaborate with growth, engineering, product, design, research, and delivery teams to craft technical responses for government, nonprofit, and commercial opportunities, emphasizing cloud platforms, security, and DevOps.
The Technical Solutions Engineer will bridge technical engineering expertise and strategic business development to design secure, scalable, and innovative digital solutions. In this role, you will translate complex client requirements into practical technical architectures while supporting proposal development, solution design, and engineering initiatives. Working closely with growth, engineering, product, design, and delivery teams, you will help shape technical responses to government, nonprofit, and commercial opportunities. You will leverage your expertise in cloud infrastructure, software development, networking, Linux systems, and information security to address technical challenges and demonstrate solution feasibility. The position offers a dynamic mix of client-facing technical strategy and hands-on engineering within a distributed, remote-first environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to ethical technology development and build digital products and services that improve people's lives.
Serve as a subject-matter expert on technical capabilities and service offerings, analyzing client requirements, project objectives, and constraints to develop scalable, secure, and effective technical solutions.
Collaborate with growth and engineering teams to review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation materials, ensuring technical responses are accurate, compelling, feasible, and aligned with client needs.
Partner with capture managers and other stakeholders to develop technical narratives, proposal content, presentation materials, and supporting documentation that address client requirements and overcome technical objections.
Contribute to the design of secure, scalable systems using major cloud platforms, containerization technologies, orchestration tools, and modern deployment workflows.
Work across growth, engineering, product, design, research, and delivery teams to align technical approaches with business objectives, user needs, and implementation capabilities.
Support internal engineering projects and contribute to the design and development of technical solutions for proposals, demonstrations, oral presentations, and technical challenges.
Identify gaps in collaboration and delivery workflows, recommend improvements, and help strengthen coordination between business development, engineering, and delivery functions.
Maintain reliable internet access for remote work, safeguard sensitive company and client information, represent the organization professionally, and participate in occasional in-person meetings, workshops, or training sessions as required.
At least five years of professional experience in sales engineering, solutions engineering, full-stack engineering, or a related technical role involving collaboration across product, design, research, and business development teams.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures, deployment workflows, and practical implementation strategies.
Strong understanding of major cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as modern continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Strong knowledge of security principles, encryption standards, enterprise authentication and authorization protocols, and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST SP 800-53.
Familiarity with single sign-on (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), OpenID Connect (OIDC), role-based access control (RBAC), and related identity management technologies.
Experience with APIs and programming languages or technologies such as TypeScript and Python is advantageous.
Experience collaborating across engineering, product, design, research, growth, and delivery teams to support solution development and successful project execution.
Previous experience in product management or product delivery, relevant certifications such as AWS, GCP, Azure, CCNA, CCDA, Security+, Network+, CISSP, or CSP, and a willingness to pursue further certifications are advantageous.
Must reside full-time in the contiguous United States and be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without employer sponsorship.
Ability to maintain a reliable internet connection, uphold strict information security practices, and travel occasionally for project-related meetings, workshops, or training with advance notice.
Willingness to undergo applicable background investigations, which may include a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI), Moderate Background Investigation (MBI), or other checks depending on project and client requirements.
Work remotely from an eligible US state within a distributed, remote-first team.
Opportunities to expand technical expertise, develop engineering and solution architecture capabilities, and pursue relevant industry certifications.
Contribute to digital products and services designed to address real-world challenges for government, nonprofit, and commercial clients.
Equal employment opportunities and reasonable accommodations for qualified applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
Participate in occasional in-person meetings, workshops, and training sessions to support project delivery and team collaboration.
