Technical Solution Manager

Reporting To: LBL US & Canada Marine Systems Sales Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

This position offers the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process. You will serve as a key technical resource, preparing technical descriptions, determining costs, and finalizing documentation. The work model is remote, contributing to the Process Automation Marine & Ports division.

You will be mainly responsible for:

1. Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers, channels, and Sales Specialists regarding ABB products, systems, and applications.
2. Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to identify optimal technical solutions for customer needs and complex inquiries.
3. Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities, resolving customer problems, and achieving targets related to orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
4. Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth across all assigned product groups and countries.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering or a technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in terminal construction, electrification projects, or electrical micro-grid/systems industry.
• Experience with marine and shoreside regulatory bodies is a plus.
• Experience with database development and management.
• Knowledge of onshore regulations (NEC, UL, IEEE) is preferred.
• Scheduling experience in MS Project is desirable.
• Experience with ABB ACS880 drives and 800xA automation platforms is an asset but not required.
• Experience with alternative fuels such as hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol.
• Experience with government project execution.
