Job summary

Tradebe Environmental Services in Port Allen, LA, is seeking a Technical Services Operations Manager II to lead a chemist and driver team, with full P&L responsibility for a service center. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will oversee scheduling, training, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales and Customer Service to meet client needs, while ensuring DOT and EH&S standards are met on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field is highly preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials management and knowledge of DOT regulations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for the service center with full P&L ownership.
• Oversee scheduling of customer work, logistics, and team assignments.
• Manage and develop Field Chemists and Drivers, providing training and support.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and DOT regulations.
• Coordinate purchasing, invoices, and supply management for the facility.
• Collaborate with Sales, Plant Operations, and Customer Service teams to resolve technical and operational needs.
• Communicate facility updates and challenges to regional leadership.

As a Technical Services Operations Manager, you’ll lead a motivated team of chemists and drivers while managing full P&L responsibility for a service center. This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving operational excellence, and supporting both your team and customers.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for the service center with full P&L ownership
• Oversee scheduling of customer work, logistics, and team assignments
• Manage and develop Field Chemists and Drivers, providing training and support
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and DOT regulations

Do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field is highly preferred
• Previous hazardous material management experience a plus
• Extensive knowledge of DOT regulations highly preferred
• Experience operating a forklift – highly preferred
• Ability to work the schedule for which you are hired for
• Ability to work on-site as described in the job description
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
