Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a Technical Services Manager to oversee field engineers on large-scale natural gas power generation projects. This role demands strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and effective collaboration with clients and subcontractors.

You will lead project execution, review specifications, generate RFIs, ensure safety and quality, and mentor engineers to deliver on schedule, within budget, and to the required standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in technical services, construction, or engineering management in the power generation sector (natural gas plants).
• Strong knowledge of gas turbines, generators, balance of plant equipment, and power plant systems.
• Familiarity with industry codes, safety regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Proven experience managing technical teams and coordinating cross-functional projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage field operations to meet schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of field engineers.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshoot issues; generate RFIs.
• Review project specifications, standards, and drawings from clients and subcontractors.
• Plan WorkFace Planning to align field work with the project schedule.
• Prepare project status reports on schedule, progress, staffing, and safety.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy of site documentation and submittals.
• Maintain safety compliance and enforce company policies.
