Job summary

Technical Service Manager - Modifications (1st Shift)

Textron Aviation is a leading global manufacturer of private aircraft, known for the Cessna and Beechcraft brands. In this role you will support aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while leading a team of technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for all aircraft maintenance and support the maintenance manager.
  • Provide crucial updates to the Customer Service Manager to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Lead a team of technicians within the service center, assigning tasks and conducting evaluations.
  • Implement lean manufacturing processes, focusing on the 5S method and coordinating Area Team Development events.
  • Ensure work meets established policies, procedures, and quality standards to uphold customer safety and satisfaction.
  • Oversee safety protocols, quality control, schedule adherence, and overall efficiency at the Service Center.
  • Track and analyze shop performance metrics (LUE, Billing Efficiency, Productivity, schedule adherence) and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to implement corrective actions.
  • Assign and realign team tasks, provide coaching, conduct evaluations, manage disciplinary actions, and collaborate with team members on working conditions and ergonomics.
  • Resolve post‑delivery issues and address Maintenance Visit Performance Evaluation concerns, ensuring prompt resolution of open parts or return maintenance issues.
Qualifications
  • A/P License required.
  • Seven (7) years of aircraft maintenance experience, OR five (5) years of aircraft maintenance experience and a bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field.
  • Repairman Certificate or EASA License preferred.
  • Experience in aircraft maintenance, service center operations, or customer service is helpful.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport, if applicable.
