Job summary

Precise Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to gather, document, and validate system and business requirements through user stories and use cases. You will facilitate design, work with developers and testers, and assist with testing and QA processes to deliver secure government-grade software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline highly preferred.
• Three plus years of work experience in Information Technology as a Business Analyst and Tester.
• Experience as a business analyst with ability to perform functional and regression testing; Salesforce familiarity preferred.
• Strong skills in direct user support, willingness to fill multiple roles on a small team, and ability to balance conflicting priorities.
• Experience facilitating meetings with business owners, technical leads, and other stakeholders.
• Worked as the Scrum Master for technical team coordination.
• Experience capturing business needs and develops corresponding functional solutions.
• Developed technical requirements, user stories, and mockups to address business needs and has worked with developers and testers to ensure prototype solutions meet expectations.
• Executed detailed tests and test scripts and documented test results.
• Experience automating tests as needed in testing tools to support automation, 508 compliance, and performance testing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Proficient with JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder management, requirement elicitation, preparing estimations for BA tasks and deliverables, systems analysis, preparing functional specifications using user stories, acceptance criteria and use case narration.
• Translate unique business needs into functional specifications and provide system solutions, maintain project schedules and generate status reports.
• Plan business analysis efforts, including stakeholder analysis and elicitation techniques.
• Support discussions on establishing and controlling application scope.
• Facilitate requirements gathering via meetings, interview sessions, brainstorming, and documentation analysis.
• Support customer meetings to understand client business practices and needs supporting requirements analysis.
• Document and validate high-level business needs and nonfunctional requirements; ensure traceability and verifiability.
• Coordinate stage gate reviews and assemble document packages with team members.
• Ensure linked requirements and test scripts are understood by developers and testers; maintain clear, testable requirements.
• Develop weekly and monthly status reports.
