About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Technical Sales Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be the primary day-to-day contact for our established customers as a connector between the customer, our Engineering team, and our Sales team once a partnership is in place and a product is in production.
You'll answer product questions, interpret customer specifications, keep orders moving, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks between departments. It's a role for someone who's comfortable with technical detail, genuinely enjoys taking care of customers, and can keep a lot of moving pieces organized at once.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for established customers via phone, email, and in person
- Act as the liaison between customers and our Engineering and Sales teams, translating customer needs into clear internal requests and relaying technical answers back to the customer
- Answer product questions from customers and support the Sales team as a product knowledge resource
- Review and interpret customer specifications and drawings to ensure orders are entered and produced correctly
- Route technical questions, specification changes, and product modification requests to Engineering and follow them through to resolution
- Process orders, forms, and applications, and set up new accounts
- Collaborate daily with Sales, Engineering, Production, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Accounts Receivable
- Resolve billing issues and respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Maintain accurate records and customer information in our proprietary software, ProPAK
- Organize workflow to meet production deadlines and customer timeframes
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experience across phone, email, and face-to-face channels, preferably in a manufacturing or technical products environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort reading and interpreting technical specifications or drawings, or a demonstrated ability to learn technical product details quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); MacOS experience a plus
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with a diverse team and customer base
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay of $25–$30, based on experience
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company matching
- Paid time off
- A supportive, team-oriented work environment
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday
