Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be planning, presenting, and managing new and existing ABB Analytics opportunities for our Process Analytics (PA) business in the US. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, experienced in FTIR / NIR, with working knowledge of CGA, CEMS, GC, and/or TDL technologies. You should be well-spoken and driven to succeed in meeting and exceeding customer needs.

The work model for this role is remote. #LI-Remote
Relocation assistance will not be provided. This role contributes to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics (PAMA) division nationwide in the US.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Identifying potential projects and presenting ABB Analytical Solutions tailored to customer needs. Driving and supporting our Channel Partners, collaborating with regional sales teams, and directly driving business growth.
  2. Growing ABB's Process Analytics business aligned with our go-to-market strategy. Acting as the front line for offering and executing ABB solutions. Being technical, articulate, and motivated to succeed.
  3. Monitoring market trends and recommending strategic adjustments to adapt to market and competitive changes. Providing market insights for long- and mid-term decision making.
  4. Communicating the value proposition of Analytics internally and externally. Supporting local sales teams with effective perception, communication, promotion, and training activities.
  5. Achieving key targets (volume, price, mix) for Analytics regionally and nationally. Developing and executing detailed business plans with regular follow-up.
  6. Prioritizing and managing major accounts, including account management in collaboration with local Account Managers globally.
  7. Building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring performance meets their needs, and communicating opportunities or deficiencies to relevant Business Units.
  8. Collaborating with sales teams to identify and capture new business opportunities, including negotiating complex legal and commercial agreements.
  9. Managing risks related to contracts and pricing across segments.
  10. Reporting by segment to measure progress and identify future opportunities using standard tools.
    Qualifications
    • Associates Degree in technology with 5+ years' experience in instrumentation, either as a customer, salesperson, technician, or project manager.
    • Experience with FTIR / NIR and solid understanding of CGA, CEMS, GC, and/or TDL technologies.
    • Knowledge of Analytics including GC, FTIR, Tunable Diode Lasers, CGA, and CWA. Instrumentation knowledge is an asset.
    • Ability to leverage existing industry relationships for new opportunities.
    • Solution design skills tailored to customer needs while promoting ABB products.
    • Customer-centric focus, understanding their goals, purchase behaviors, and maintenance practices.
    • Ability to build relationships at all organizational levels within ABB, channel partners, and end users.
    • Up to 35% domestic travel; international travel may be required once per year for training.
    • No visa sponsorship available; candidates must already have work authorization for the US.
