Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Richmond, VA, is hiring a Technical Sales and Service Representative to purchase and maintain repair parts, run product demonstrations and match items to client needs within the Tirefill division.

The role reports to the National Sales Manager, Tirefill Division, with daily vendor and customer communication. Must have technical sales experience and strong problem-solving and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Technical Sales is preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Ability to assemble, troubleshoot, repair and refurbish industrial equipment.
• Proficiency with SAP or similar systems for inventory, pricing and orders.
• MS Office proficiency including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent customer service and relationship skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work on-site.
• Capable of working with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and maintain repair parts for internal and external use.
• Maintain customer pricing for replacement parts in SAP.
• Perform quarterly inventory of parts and equipment.
• Create delivery notes via SAP for customer orders.
• Fulfill orders and ship via UPS.
• Build and refurbish Tirefill equipment.
• Provide technical support to customers and the sales team.
• Perform equipment repairs at customer locations.
• Provide training at customer sites on Tirefill equipment.
• Submit weekly expense reports and work schedules.
