Azelis Agricultural & Environmental Solutions (A&ES) is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our vector team. This position is responsible for contacting and calling on all existing and potential customers in the assigned Midwest territory and performing related assignments for the purpose of selling and servicing our products and services.

About Azelis A&ES

Azelis A&ES distributes herbicides in various markets including industrial, aquatics, rights-of-way, range and pasture, and agriculture, with over 20 years of service in the forestry market. We are a leading US supplier of insecticide and biorational products to the professional vector control market since 1985 and supply raw ingredient chemistry into the agricultural chemical formulation market.

Position Summary

This role involves engaging with all existing and potential customers within the designated geographical area to sell and service our products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Achieve sales efficiencies by identifying and exploiting profitable opportunities.
  2. Prioritize and sell products that maximize profitability, disengaging from less profitable offerings.
  3. Provide monthly and annual sales forecasts.
  4. Manage and update all relevant information in Azelis A&ES's CRM system.
  5. Develop product knowledge through studying data sheets.
  6. Become a problem solver for customers to add value.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with key account personnel.
  8. Support local marketing activities and integrate sales efforts with marketing campaigns.
  9. Write technical reports on sales calls, highlighting significant business developments.
  10. Work with the Vice President of Sales to develop and achieve sales goals and strategies.
  11. Identify and target key accounts for suppliers.
  12. Coordinate joint sales calls with supplier personnel to introduce new products and discuss existing ones.
  13. Recommend pricing levels and maintain logs for non-standard pricing.
  14. Manage expenses and administrative responsibilities according to company policies.
  15. Establish effective internal relationships with team members.
  16. Present technical solutions utilizing labs and industry experts.
  17. Grow gross profit and achieve sales targets.
  18. Build forecasts and respond to customer RFBs with market-aware pricing strategies.
  19. Expand customer base by selling additional products.
  20. Coordinate targeted sales visits with suppliers and the VP of Product Development.
  21. Attend trade shows and industry associations as applicable.
  22. Develop strategic sales plans for short and long-term growth.
  23. Provide regular activity reports and update sales opportunities promptly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, entomology, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
  • 3-5+ years of field sales experience, preferably in the industry.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong ethics and professionalism.
