Job description

Azelis Agricultural & Environmental Solutions (A&ES) is seeking a talented and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our vector team. This position is responsible for contacting and calling on all existing and potential customers in the assigned Midwest territory and performing related sales and service duties.

About Azelis A&ES

Azelis A&ES distributes herbicides across various markets including industrial, aquatics, rights-of-way, range and pasture, and agriculture, with over 20 years of service in the forestry market. We are also the leading US supplier of insecticide and biorational products to the professional vector control market since 1985, and supply raw ingredients for agricultural chemical formulations.

Position Summary

The role involves engaging with customers within the geographical territory to sell and service our products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Achieve high sales efficiency by identifying and exploiting profitable opportunities.
  • Prioritize and sell products that maximize profitability, disengaging from less profitable lines.
  • Provide monthly and yearly sales forecasts.
  • Manage all relevant CRM data accurately.
  • Develop extensive product knowledge through studying data sheets.
  • Become a problem solver for customers to add value.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts for ongoing business.
  • Support local marketing activities, including product launches and promotions.
  • Document sales calls with technical reports highlighting significant information.
  • Work with the VP of Sales to set and achieve sales goals and strategies.
  • Identify and focus on target accounts for suppliers.

Additional responsibilities include scheduling joint sales calls, recommending and logging pricing levels, managing expenses, and collaborating with team members across departments. The role also involves presenting technical solutions, growing territory GP, building forecasts, responding to RFBs, expanding customer base, attending trade shows, and developing strategic sales plans.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, entomology, or a related technical field from an accredited university.
  • 3-5+ years of field sales experience, preferably industry-related.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong ethics and high moral standards.
