Job summary

Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for the Sweet & Beverage portfolio. On-site in Hoffman Estates, IL, you will leverage your scientific background to support world-class customers and bring custom flavor solutions to market.

You’ll educate customers about product usage, partner with the commercial team, and build trusted relationships. The role requires a 5+ year background in food/bev and a degree in a relevant science.

We're looking for someone with a scientific background—preferably in food science, chemistry, chemical engineering, biology, or a related discipline—who has experience working directly with customers and is excited to build a career in sales. What you’ll do:

• As a Technical Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to build and strengthen partnerships in the sweet & beverage space, supporting the sale of our top-shelf, value-added flavors portfolio to world-class customers in the US.
• You will partner with our commercial team to bring custom solutions for a broad base of customers. As a part of this dynamic team, you will have internal resources structured to support and ensure your success!
• You will act as technical expert of Sensient products and educate our customers on the value and usage of our products.
• You will work with a full range of consultants, development houses, and start ups to position our products and technology.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant scientific discipline, with 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
• Experience in food ingredients and food or beverage product development, with a strong technical foundation.
• A strategic, results-driven approach to developing new business and winning accounts.
• Proven ability to position technical, value-added solutions and build trusted relationships with key customer decision-makers.
• A passion for solving customer challenges, driving innovation, and growing a successful technical sales career.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000 USD. Pay within the range is based on several factors, which may include, but are not limited to, education, work experience, specialized training, and labor market conditions.
