Overview

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Sales & Engineering Manager to fill an opening with a Tier 2 manufacturing company north of the Detroit area. Must have experience selling technical (ideally plastic) components and helping with the technical delivery of products.

Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Minimum 3 years of Sales and Engineering Experience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in plastic injection molding with at least 3 years in a leadership role combining sales and engineering.
• Proven track record of growing customer accounts and successfully launching new products.
• Strong understanding of mold design, materials, tooling, and processing parameters.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring consistent communication and high satisfaction.
• Translate customer needs into manufacturable solutions and align internal capabilities with external demands.
• Conduct on-site customer visits, project reviews, and technical discussions to maintain strong partnerships.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth in target markets (automotive, medical, consumer goods, etc.).
• Identify new business opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting to closing.
• Provide technical guidance during quoting, DFM (Design for Manufacturability), and mold flow analysis processes.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed quality standards.
