Job summary

Metallus offers a full-time summer internship in 2027 designed to immerse you in account management within the steel/manufacturing sector. You will shadow Account Managers, learn prospecting, cold calling, presentation, and pricing, and gain hands-on exposure to the sales pipeline from inquiry to shipment.

The program includes workshops on resume building, interview prep, and career readiness, plus housing options and access to the Wellness Center, all within a casual, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by end of Spring 2027.
• Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university.
• Preferred majors: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related.

Responsibilities

• Learn about account management in the steel/manufacturing industry.
• Shadow and support Account Managers to learn skills in prospecting, cold calling, presentation, and pricing.
• Gain understanding of sales pipeline and process from inquiry to shipment of product.
• Understanding of Metallus capabilities/offerings, market segments, and competitive landscape.
• Opportunity to shadow Account Managers on local travel to customers for meetings and plant tours.
