Job summary

Metallus in Canton, OH invites an intern to join its team for a Summer 2027 program. You will gain real work experience, with workshops on resume building and interview prep, in a casual but career-focused environment.

You will learn general steelmaking procedures and collaborate with product management, CRM, AML and sales on customer-focused projects, including a bainite study for ICI/Hyundai crank and providing submittal recommendations to the TSE manager.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Have completed 30+ credit hours by Spring 2027.
• Preferred majors include Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related.

Responsibilities

• Learn general steelmaking and Metallus procedures to help address small claims (quick pays and inside sales issues).
• Work with product management, CRMs, AML and sales to complete customer-quality projects, including a bainite study for ICI/Hyundai crank and submittal recommendations to TSE manager.

Education

Minimum cumulative GPA 2.5

30+ credit hours completed

Full-time student (two-year or four-year college)

Internship Assignment - Summer 2027

Learn general steelmaking and Metallus procedures to help address small claim concerns (quick pays and inside sales issues).

Work closely with product management, CRM's, AML and sales to complete given, customer quality focused project (projects including bainite study for ICI/Hyundai crank, compiling and making property submittal recommendations to TSE manager and Finishing MetQA and correlating ArcelorMittal tube yield to Metallus' internal yield).

Internship Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
• Must be a full‑time student attending an accredited two‑year or four‑year college/university
