Perform metallurgical investigations or failure analyses to determine root cause of defects and steel quality issues
Produce quality investigative reports and material related documentation
Prepare metallographic samples (sample sectioning, mounting, polishing)
Utilize optical and scanning electron microscopy to evaluate metallurgical features
Analyze material for steel cleanness and characterization
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
Preferred majors: Materials Science & Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related
