Job summary

Direct Recruiters Inc. seeks a seasoned mechanical/systems engineer to design and deliver customized lifting solutions for defense applications. You will read drawings, liaise with customers and OEMs, and collaborate with engineering teams to translate requirements into engineered configurations.

You’ll support quoting, proposals, and project execution for truck-mounted cranes, load handling systems, and specialized lifting gear, with travel around 10–15% and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with experience in defense equipment or heavy/mobile hydraulic systems.
• Able to read engineering drawings and communicate technical concepts with customers and teams.
• CAD and applications/project engineering experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical liaison between customers, OEM partners, engineering, and business development, developing customized lifting solutions for complex applications.
• Translate customer requirements into engineered solutions, recommend product configurations, and support quoting, proposal development, and project execution.
• Support a portfolio of truck-mounted cranes, load handling systems, and specialized defense lifting equipment, ensuring solutions meet demanding operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates have an engineering background with experience in defense equipment, heavy equipment, hydraulics, mobile equipment, or other complex mechanical systems.
• Must be comfortable reading engineering drawings, communicating technical concepts, and collaborating with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
• CAD and applications/project engineering experience are a plus.

Travel & Compensation

Approximately 10–15% travel. Competitive compensation package up to $140K base + bonus.
